Today we, me, den1mhead, Black Orchid and Foxy just hung out . . . .

            Climbing a denim high rise tower . . .

Sitting on top of an IH selfie of den1mhead @ Black Orchid . . .

            Riding the clothes rail . . .

Doing my best impression of a TED boots . . .

Watching the Snooker from the Crucible Sheffield which is den1mhead's home town . .

Watching over Foxy as she takes a nap . . .

            Riding on a wild stag . . .

Doing time for being bad Ted . . .

Offering myself to the local birds but sdaly no takers . .

Trying again but still no joy . . .

Levitating amongst the roses (which are still to bloom) . . .

den1mhead & Black Orchid have been distracted with their running training for the upcoming Frome Half Marathon and 10km respectively, 17/7/2016. They are running to raise money for The Ronald McDonald House Bristol Charity, www.rmhbristol.com. Here's what is written on their Virgin Money Giving page explaining why they are running . . .

Hi, thanks for visiting our page, we are Barcley and Jules Roberts, Leo's paternal Grandparents. We are running The Frome Half Marathon, (Barcley) and 10K (Jules) to show our gratitude and thanks for all the amazing care and support given to Ruby and Alex, Leo's parents during his battle with meningitis.
We will now hand you over to Ruby, Leo's Mum..

_Ronald McDonald house is a treasured place for myself and my Alex for just over 5 weeks it was a place to call home.

Our son Leo was born fit and healthy but at just 5weeks old he contracted Meningitis B. He was so small and so precious. We had been rushed from bath A+E to Bristol and Leo's life hung in the balance. As we had stepped into the ambulance after a sleepless night I will always remember the doctor saying to me "we will pull over if you need to say goodbye" these words will never leave me.

As terrified as we were I climbed aboard praying. Neither me, Alex or my mum slept that night. When we arrived in Bristol and Leo was connected to the life support we were given the life changing news that Leo had meningitis. They were doing all they could for him but they could not reassure us that he would make it through.

The day was as exhausting as the night and we tried to sleep in the parents waiting room which was full of parents in our position and worse. Alex and I vowed that we were not leaving here without our baby and we meant it. Bristol was an hour or more from home and God knows what could change in his condition in that time. We struggled between wooden chairs and pillows from the ward until a nurse came to tell us that they had a room for us at Ronald McDonald house. I had seen the collection pots but never took the time to find out what they did yet here they were in our hour of greatest need. She told us they were just up the hill and we would have telephone access straight to Leo's bed side all night.

Leo's battle was just beginning and I was so relieved that we had somewhere to stay. As we entered the Ronald McDonald house we saw welcoming staff a kitchen big enough for us and the other families a play room for siblings and a double room for me and Alex. We couldn't have asked for more at this hour of need we could be at the hospital in minutes and we were able to be with Leo all the waking hours. We were so grateful to Ronald McDonald house.

We stayed at the Ronald McDonald house for over a month and we never went home for even one night without our little soldier. He was fighting and we were right by his side.

While we were there we vowed to help to fundraise. Due to meningitis Leo has suffered acquired brain injury and he has visual impairments, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, hormone deficiency and global delay but I feel like the luckiest parent alive. As you can imagine life has been a series of ups and down and extremely busy we are so grateful to Jules and Barcley, Leo's paternal grandparents, for fulfilling this vow to support Ronald McDonald House.

This was the hardest month of our lives and I hope no one has to go through this without the excellent support of the Ronald McDonald House.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to RonaldMcDonald House Bristol. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations._

So den1mhead & Black Orchid get a Maine Coon kitten today to go with their Hungarian Viszla puppy. I demanded that they send me to Giles today, which is earlier than necessary, but I enjoy life and I know one of these two babies will end up tearing me to shreds.
                Farewell den1mhead & Black Orchid X X x
