WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
-
Paula and I decided that we wanted a particular tree for the garden. The only place that we found that sells it, is 220 miles away in Cornwall. So we came down here. Have to say, it's the most money I have ever spent on a twig
Decided to take a coastal walk.
And spotted this very intricately detailed and carved headstone…..

Where's a picture of the twig?
-
You weren't joking. That is a twig. The yard in the background looks very nice, and I'm sure the twig will catch up to the rest soon enough.
-
It looks great now. Very spacious. Every time my wife brings home a plant I get nervous. Last time it was 3 bamboo plants for a grand total of 240 USD! But… 'They really add to the space'.
Maybe this should go in the random rants thread.

So what exactly is this expensive twig that required a trip to the tail end of nowhere?
-
Yeah, that's a USD75 twig….........When we bought the (wreck of a) house 10 years ago, the only thing in the garden was the house. The garden was designed, planted and built by me and Paula…..It's actually a central part of who we are......
The term 'garden' is a nice understatement
This 'park' reminds me of -> -

It is a truly beautiful garden! Amazing spot to relax in during summer.
I have fond memories of sitting around the pond, drinking beer and talking away with G and P.

That is unique. Makes the ordinary white blossom magnolias around here seem dull. I can see why you'd want it in your garden
