Depends if you like their efforts at trying to reproduce vintage jeans using traditional methods and machinery. From what i see, japanese jeans doesn't have the best cuts, are damn hairy and uneven(slubby), stiff, uncomfortable, and generally not very stylish as compared to the more mainstream brands.

Sugar canes are pretty affordable I think? Can grab a pair of 47's off 2nd@rakuten for 200 sgd. Sugarcanes are really worth their money, looking at the amount of manual work taken to produce one, natural indigo and all. Wouldn't know anything about sams or skulls.

              ronaldlsh:
Blehbleh seems to have a problem with jap denims. Not stylish??? Wtf? Generally slubby?
And seriously, your comment really very personal.

I'm not saying the cuts on "mainstream brands" are not nice. I think dior has one of the best cuts. And my friends look great in them.

But saying that jap denims are generally not stylish is kind of stereotyping. Just because they don't produce cuts that u like, doesn't mean they are not stylish.

              Guy A:
I see I have to explain every part of my post to clear up misunderstandings with you again ronaldsh. I meant not "stylish" as in japanese repro brands come with a lack of wash, fancy hardware and or markings, prints, or any of those random crap which SOME people might find stylish. it usually comes in a raw, pretty standard 5 pocket traditional design. And yes, compared to mass-produced mainstream brands like zara, levi's non vintage, uniqlo non mij, topman etc, japanese denim are generally, I repeat, GENERALLY slubbier and hairier. I'm sorry, this is the internet, I'm sure you are old enough not to take any comments on the board personally, and if you did, I can't help you.

Bumblebee, I know most japanese brands do a slim-tapered cut, usually as collabs. But hardly any skinny. To clear the misunderstandings, I don't wear skinny, nor slim-tapered anymore, so i'm coming from a neutral standpoint. But the SE05BSPs are slim-tapered, so are the pbj-x11. Some would say skulls 5010 has too roomy thighs to be considered skinny, and if you have to downsize 3 million, it wouldn't really be called a skinny cut. I'm not familiar with the various samurai limited edition cuts, but the 710xx seems to be their slimmest cut which has been around for some time, and it's barely even slim. I should rephrase "not the best cuts" into "not as many cuts as nudies".

Scribble, retired diors already, into 2nd month of my flat head 3001. Don't like dior cut and fading ;/

Denim creases does depend to a certain extent on the fit, but there are other factors like denim weight. As long as it isn't baggy, you shouldnt need to worry about creases shifting. If you're into long term wear, you should go with APC, since they are of good construction, and have decent fading properties. The other japanese brands aren't really made to last that long, they are made to fade in shorter periods of time.

Stiff jeans don't really fade more easily, it just creates sharper creases as well as sharper fades on said creases. Ease of fade depends on the dyeing method as well as your activities.

I used to have one of these . . . (well an older model)

                          http://contour.com/camera

. . . but then it got all broke up along with my talus, vertebrosternal nos. III-V, and radius. Thankfully the bike was ok.

Anyway it gave pretty good results but was a wee bit annoying that output was Quicktime, but that might be ok for you, now you've gone all Apple and stuff.

I think the creases he means are the ones he irons into his jeans after he takes them out the washer/dryer . . .

Trying to sell this Rogue's Gallery jacket on some forums, lots of people bite but no one has bought it yet… just took some random fit pics for a kid. Its solid black so its hard to see detail in my dark room, prob would have been better to take them outside but im in a rush out the door to go to target at the moment... fits me very slim but it does fit (size S too). Should i get rid of this? Its a wool toggle coat, and in wearing the IHSH-31 i get the "wear long sleeves!" comments you guys have made. It totally helps. haha but i do need the money, and i still have the IHW-01 and IHW-02 (if i keep that dunno yet) But in trying on the coat today i do like it. Grrrr.

Has there been a thread made for the flannel lined IH jeans? I realize it's a Self-Edge collab and all, but I figured this would be the place to see some early pictures.
