Perfect fit @johnny5799 - Seeing as you got away with a M, the XL in stock at SE is all the more tempting! Luckily, Still think I'll be holding out for the Burgundy IHSH-147 though…

and +1 on the bad@$$ house!  Looks more like something you would find in Arizona than NY, but that's what makes it even more awesome!!

Haha!  Thanks guys, I wish I could say it was my house!  It's my father in law's pad and you're close @Appfaff it's in Nevada!  Anyways, I think you could pull off the XL, but yeah that 147 looks real nice, so much excellent IH gear on the horizon!

Not sure if everyone saw, but there is a small restock of the KS1002 on his site.  I was curious and thought I'd check it out.  Once I saw that the price was quite a bit lower than I paid for the KS1001 I had to cop a pair.  It's worth a look.

Really, really, really wish they weren't Cone.  If Roy ever does a jean in something that isn't Cone I'll be all over them.

I get that @BloodnThunder , but it's not the mass produced 13,5 oz that everyone else is using.  I'll trust him and his denim recipe that is passed along to Cone.

My KS1001 are definitely stubborn though.  It'll be interesting to see how different the denim is on the KS1002.

Have you had issues with Cone denim? I have had no issues with my two pair of SF01s or my original Ducks.

I think there's a very common misconception that Roy uses "just Cone denim" but it's not the same Cone that boring new Kickstarter brands are using. Having two pairs that use different versions of Roy's "just Cone denim" in the KS1001 and RT1002, I can say it's more interesting than a lot of other denim out there once you put some wear into it.

@Broark do you find that there is less roping on your RT's with the 13.5 black seed denim compared to the denim used on the KS1001? My RS05s with the black seed denim have very little roping and summ3rhays's KS1001 show great roping

@goodrain I don't think I've noticed less roping with the Black Seed denim compared to the Cone project denim used on the KS1001's. I'll try and snap a photo of the two side by side when I get home. I think I've worn and washed the RT1002's a bit more in comparison to the KS1001's.

I wouldn't say I have an issue with Cone.  I just have like 4 pairs of jeans made from Cone.  Even though none of them are the same denim my experience has been they all have similar fading characteristics.  Mainly heavy vertical fading.  Again, not a complaint just a denim trait I have plenty of and have no need for more of.

Sorry for the crappy photos, but here's what I got. I guess the roping is a little more pronounced on the KS1001 Cone project denim, but not by much.

OK that makes sense now. Roy doesn't use the Union Special 43200G(at least not recently) and that might be why his hems have less roping than your pair.

Bam!  One of the best aspects of the modern world. Ordered, hemmed and delivered in less than 3 days.

Soaking these bad boys this weekend. I went with a 34. My KS1001 are 33 and a touch tight. Plus the denim is heavier although still summer weight at 14,5.

The shine, color and feel of the cone is so different than IH. Even before the soak it looks really hairy.
