Totally spontaneous purchase my girl talked me into.

        You should marry that one…....

Definitely. I'd like my wife to talk me into that jacket!

Thank you. I'll try to post pics when the fit has improved.

@louisbosco How does yours look right now? Did you wash it an encounter further shrinkage?

@Max Power i have not washed them so far. only time i managed to wear them was in japan in winter. currently summer in australia now so not much chances to wear them. good buy for you, mine hasn't really settled in yet..

I'm thinking about sizing up to XXL in this…XL feels perfectly fitted, but the waist is super snug. Then I don't really wear the jacket closed, I just feel like it should fit if I want to close it.

XXL would be a hair bigger than my (perfect) IHxVS, XL is a tad smaller. Too bad  :-\

I think there is still some shrinkage left in the 18 oz, so you can shrink the XXL if needed.

Shrinkage would be the last I want in my XL, so I'll have a look at the XXL. I just hope somebody has interest in my barely worn XL then.

Think the fit looks spot on.  Especially if you tend to wear it open anyway.  Couldn't you just use top few buttons and leave bottom few open if it shrinks and if you wanted it done up?

I know it's all personal preference, but I prefer my denim jackets to have that classic "pull" at the buttons - if they are too big (or in all actuality, the "true" size), they have a tendency to look "frumpy." I really like your 101 look with the XL - I would be afraid to get the next size up.

thanks!!. they're still somewhat stiff. so tempted to put them in the wash now to soften them. but might hold for abit longer.

so i finally gave my 101J a warm wash. i felt overall the denim shrunk a little more. fits a lot better now and the denim has soften up a lot as well.

i don't have measurements, so for comparison, a photo when i first had them..
