sofa is lovely, just knock out the kinks in it by having lots of sex on the bumpy section

5 doors within 2 steps of each other. I've always thought this was kind of cool.

Seems worth it to me.

I'm not a fan of purple, but that sofa is too cool. Reminds me of something Morpheus would own.
+1 !!

Is that a Chesterfield specific shop? If so, I must go….
The sofa was restored and sold by The Original Sofa Co who specialise in Chesterfields. Their workshop is in Gateshead, and they've got a showroom in Chelsea.
They specialise in old school upholstery, which is a lot more labour intensive than modern techniques, but means that a piece will probably survive fifty or sixty years without needing any attention. Plus they hand dye the leather, which means that I'll have a tea core sofa!

I've spent far too much on a very old, and very purple Chesterfield sofa.
Oh, and it's currently in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which is about as far away as it is possible to get from me.
Whoa! That's wild, @Graeme ! I'd really like to see pictures of it in the room it will live in it's not too much trouble. I think it's beautiful.

Thanks Graeme. Like the window..The chesterfield will jazz the room up nicely

Thanks @dylantbmayes!
There are a few photos of it earlier in this thread. (Here.)

Looks like a great space Graeme and an even lovelier couch.

@Graeme Did you ever select a daybed?
I didn't @Bluegrass. I'm not sure if I'd have space for one with the sofa I'm getting. I was originally planning on going with something a bit smaller.
If you're looking for suggestions, I was considering the following: Topos Workshop WW2 camp bed, Zeitraum Guest, Turtle Stapelbett, Rolf Heide stacking bed, and the Lönneberga stacking bed. That one has a cushion that acts as storage for bedding and pillows, which is a clever touch.
Vintage pieces: Chesa Laria daybed, a large daybed by Børge Mogensen, and Wim Rietveld Arielle daybed, which can be found cheaper elsewhere.
Some of the above are rather expensive! :o
The idea was to get a piece that would function as a sofa, but also could be used as a guest bed, hence the stacking beds, and things like the Chesa Laria that takes a Euro sized single mattress.
