They look great.. Good job

Thanks. The tag and the red threads didn't dye. So they just got a deeper shade of black and now everything is black.
-
I was thinking of doing the same but not for the white pocket bags just for the lack of fading. I'll be able to wear them to work without having them turn gray from frequent washing. Love these….
-
I can post complete instructions and were to get the dye if you'd like.
-
Thanks
I've used their products before (Dharma). Just one question how hot did you get the water….i'm going to use a steel tub or garbage can with an induction burner underneath that should get me all the heat I need.
-
I washed the pants in 3 heaping tablespoons of Samurai thunder soap in cold water, then: I just pasted the dye in about a gallon of boiling hot water. I used about 3 gallons of hottest tap water a half a cup of sea salt, 4 oz of jet black dye, and 1 cup of soda ash dissolved in a half gallon of hot water, added to the pants after an hour soak and let the sit for about her hour. Don't pour the soda ash directly on the pants. Move them to the side and slowly add it. Rinse and machine wash. You don't need heat, just plenty of non-iodized salt and soda ash added to the bath after an hour soak.

Sweet…..l think I can do that
-
Thanks for the info….I'll hold off on dying my 714's for now due to scoring a pair of 821's for work.
-
Hope you enjoy them!!

Yes, I'd say that was a fair assessment.
Thanks for clarifying. I've been wearing the 714's a bit without washing and I've noticed brown whispers forming and figured it was dirt. They just had their first wash and the brown was still there, honeycombs too. They're great trousers.
