Good people of the forum I am soliciting feedback on wearing a vest and a shirt;
shirt in or out with vest open or closed ?

Depends…..  Untucked with open vest if you're looking for casual.  Tucked with vest closed if looking for more formal.  The only one I will say no on is untucked with closed vest.  The look is kind of counter intuitive to me.

At the risk of going (slightly) against the vox pop, I'd say photo 2 and photo 2 only. To my eyes the shirt out/vest open thing is wrong.

But more seriously I'd go tucked and closed, with tucked and open and the shirt open at the neck for a more relaxed look. Having said which I don't yet possess a vest so don't trust me at all.

I know the shirt's out in this shot but I'm not too concerned about that this time.
Been wearing this all day and feels good on however, is it possible to wear too much indigo / denim ?
Your thoughts would be appreciated . . .

Guess it's just down to person opinion. For me I wouldn't go for more than two items of indigo. So jacket and jeans but different coloured shirt.
That's not saying that outfit is a miss though.

Appreciate your feedback buddy. Not so long ago I wouldn't have worn double denim however, IMO, I think it can look wicked.

Cant do Double Denim ,,been trying ,,but failing,,,,,,,jeans and jacket IMHO work best if one is faded and the  other item aint,,bit of light and dark,,yin/yang type contrast

That's a hit for me. I think somehow three pieces can look more considered than two if done right. Like, you know what you're up to and anyone that doesn't needs to go back and think again  :).
