Vincent Rapide in Chinese Red. 😘

This one was sold by the Indian Motorcycle Company in 1950, hence the atypical paint. Most Vincents were black. It's up for grabs at Anthony Godin at £69,995.

            Out bike shopping today. 😉

The new Ducati Panigale 959 has reached Australia, and it's looking rather tasty in white with the red wheels. Reviews have been very good, but I'm more interested in other bikes in their range.

Victory announced the Octane last week, after one of those interminable teaser campaigns. I was very surprised to see one on display in the local dealer so soon. It's not a bad looking bike, though not my thing, and I think the Scout has better styling.

I got a chance to sit on the Triumph Street Twin. This one's been fitted with various accessories, and is being used as a press bike. It felt reasonably spacious, but I'd have preferred a taller seat. It feels a lot lighter than the old bike, but has lost a lot of the vintage vibe. If you like the old school feel then get one of the outgoing range. I'm really looking forward to them publishing details on the Thruxton R.

ok phase two of the triumph remodelling ,a new alloy mudguard ( rear) and new mini indicators just got to wait for the warm weather to respray the tank ,as the previous owner did a really poor job of it before

MCN have published first ride impressions of the new Triumph Bonneville and Thruxton.

The Thruxton is capable of being ridden in a spirited fashion… 😉

Weight is 203 kg (dry), about 450 lbs. The Thruxton produces 96 bhp, and 83 ft/lbs of torque. So it'll go a bit better than the old model did. But it's down a bit on power compared to the BMW R nineT, which strikes me as a natural competitor.

Then again, there is the race kit…

The thing that really bothers me is the fuel capacity, at 14.5 litres. That seems a touch small, 18 or 19 would have been better.

DH and I are thinking of transitioning from Sports bike to maybe a bobber type bike.. To be more honest I've lost my mojo and I am not enjoying it so much anymore, OK to be even more honest I got scared last time we went out…also the sports bike position for pillion is punishing for long rides... Any advice guys?
