It's an old Stasi prison, the Linde Hotel, that was in use in relatively recent times, in fact I met one of Steffen's friends who had spent several months there after being drunk and disorderly.
The atmosphere was still pretty dour and depressing, even though it's now a museum. Worth taking a look if you're ever in Potsdam though.

Thanks dude! I will admit I overlooked it for a long time. I always loved super thick striped shirts, so I finally went on the hunt for one. Very glad I did.
I will say though, it's quite loud - possibly even louder in person lol - outside the house I usually tame it with a vest of jacket ha.
