      Post soak pics…

Probably gonna wear for a few weeks then pop these in for a warm wash. Got more than 1inch shrink in the waist, but none in the thigh and very little in he length. Love the fit, but I think it's a bit relaxed for what the cut was designed to be.

      Cheers,

      Adam

You inspired me to take a photo of my 666-UHR's so i snapped a couple before i left work today. I feel i'm in the same boat as you… think i could get more shrinkage out of them. I only soaked mine for about half an hour and i was wearing them at the time as i lived in fear of them shrinking past my strength to get them back on. 🙂

        no butt

Yours look great Sam!! I think a regular old wash would tighten them up a bit.

Btw, what sweat are you wearing?

Gave my UHR another soak (30 min warm soak) and a wash (quick wash, no spin - "colors" setting for temp) -

On paper, still not very much shrink and the thighs have not shrink up at all.  However, I feel he leg definitely came in a bit from the knee down and much happier with the fit.

Might need to wait a week and give them a true hot wash, but I know this tag is gonna hate me for it.

@Sam , how did yours turn out??

Still some room to shrink IMO

I've given my pair a 1 hr hot soak with plenty of agitation then a cold short wash.. it shrank but felt like it could shrink more so I gave it one final HOT wash (60 C) and it shrank quite a bit after that.. Marked difference actually
Colour got a little lighter but the fit worked great - def worth it IMO [emoji111]

Here's how they look now after 1 yr + of wear (low light pic):

^ +1 @zatenm - awesome fit. Hopefully mine will shrink down a bit more!  I've already given them a 3 hr cold soak + cold quick wash, a 30 min warm soak + "warm/cold wash and will probably bite the bullet and just pop them in for a hot wash and deal with the patch dying lol

Thanks @Sam - I'm digging the fit much more now - and they are beyond comfortable. Can't wait to see pics of your fit  after the second soak!

@1fookntitefd - normally the "Spin" cycle (at least on my washer) is to get the excess water out of the clothing, but this can easily be done by rolling the jeans up in a beach towel or patting them down with a towel.

The washer mainly will do the "agitation" for you to get more shrink out.  Hope this helps.

I never had to use Spin on jeans - they get 'agitated' at full during the washing itself and dry up quickly enough when hanged to dry IMO
I would recommend passing on the Spin…it might be too harsh on the fabric

A warm wash (40degrees) won't kill your patch, 60 degrees will affect it (shrinking/cracking) but not kill it and if you oil it afterwards it'll look great. 90 degrees will kill it dead  😉 One guy removed his first, then sewed it in after the wash… If you can be bothered  😞

@Appfaff just invest in some Obenauf's LP. Give the patch a good coat before the hot wash and you'll minimize the chances of your patch getting fried. Just don't do a boiling-hot wash. I always treat my patches with Obenauf's before a wash and all my patches are in great shape.
