^ they look good! Is leather oil, Obenaufs or similar, the recommended treatment for Indy's? I've had mine for a couple of months and they're now looking in need of some care, but I was concerned that whatever I used would colour the stitching or sole edge.

Gents:
I Recently procured two pair of stock Alden cap-toes (style# 2160 and 972). Given that my place of work is on the casual side, I took them to my cobbler to customize and "dress them down." I had him strip the black edges for a more neutral edge, apply exposed brass eyelets, and apply a rubber half sole. Here are some pics:

That's a great improvement, and I know some prefer the black edge, but I think the natural edge always looks classier
