They look brilliant, but what's the reason for a blue lens, as opposed to a green, or dark tint?

Not sure about certain colors but not dark tinted for night use I think.

benefits of light blue lenses:

Reduces glare
Helps to see contours
Improves color perception

and it can minimize visual stress…

and btw, you should be able to get these reglaze with any other kind of lenses at any quality optician...

The lenses are CR-39

and further to @rocket 's info, H says the following:

"For riders, we put blue for protection sun light and better sight in evening. Blue is popular in bikers."

I like the logo as is, but it could look cool in a darker colour as opposed to being covered up

If I remember correctly, the lenses can't be switched, so they won't work if you want to put prescription lenses in.  Otherwise, I suppose you could wear them however you'd like.

Actually, I have just checked with H.  Lenses can be swapped out for prescription….

When you say "protective", are they "protective" in the sense that they could replace the hideous garbage safety glasses i wear on jobsites and in factories? As in are they manufactured with impact protection in mind or are they more like just really sturdy sunglasses? Not looking for any legal ruling on this.

So.  They are very sturdy.  And designed to stop wind getting to your eyes.  Protective is probably a little over zealous of me….....
