well thanks for all of the input so far guys.  At this point the OD's are winning the poll by a long shot.

Black is black but OD is more interesting, particularly the texture and the way the light can change their appearance ever so subtly. Only you and other denim aficionados will notice of course. I'd advise getting both though. Christmas isn't far off and Santa says you've been a good boy

LOL..I like the way you think.  And honestly I probably will get both eventually.

Well just wanted to let you guys know that I did end up going with the overdyes and I received shipment of them today and wow…what an awesome pair of jeans.  I'm glad I ended up picking these thanks to the comments from you guys.

Like @Finkster said I don't think you can go wrong either way as both look great but man, these black overdyes are something special.  Just awesome, I love them.
