Picked this up yesterday. Its fucking glorious!
Was originally intending to substitute this for my IH hickory workshirt. Entirely different beasts (weight, texture). Looks like im keeping both!

How did you size, dude? Published measurements lead me to believe I could size down one for a snuggish fit?

Im typically an xxl in westerns so went with that. It fits perfectly as a shirt (or with a t underneath) but pretty sure that I couldn't wear it as a shacket!
Personally there is no way i could size down.

@Cutlasshound thank you for that. Risky business, sizing down… :-\

This fabric is so damn awesome!

I really like this one. I am just worried about the arms length. My normal L seems a bit large. M would probably fit better. But arm length could be a problem. Need to do some measurements.
Did you go for a Medium @Anesthetist? -
I did a medium and I think it fits well.
-
This reminds of the fabric of my late 78..
Did anyone experience any shrinkage with a wash and agitation? -

So the chest and length both shrunk about 0.5" so now the chest is now 21" and the length 28.5". Keep in mind this was with a warm hand wash with moderate agitation. Watch the buttons too, they seem to scuff very easily.

Much appreciated Sir!
Have you had the chance of measuring the sleeves? -

Have you had the chance of measuring the sleeves?Sorry, forgot that! They now measure 25". I assume they started around the 25.2" as quoted on the site.

Couldn't resist the 123 anymore and pulled the trigger…
I went with M and planning on a hot wash to get all the shrinking out - properly stoked! -
Hot soaked then washed at 60*C, happy with the fit (please excuse the toiletries):
The fabric is extremely similar in appearance but noticeably lighter than the 78.
It looks muted like vintage/old stock and is beautifully balanced with the pearl-like snaps - I really like the 123, it's going to get a lot of wear from me [emoji106] -
This shirt deserves more love - been wearing it loads…
Hickory is super versatile and is starting to fade beautifully -
Looks great old chap. It is indeed killer fabric!
