Excellent choice, looks best on the bracelet, although I'm considering getting a leather strap for mine at some stage, but not the Tudor one as it didn't look or feel that great

I'd agree about the leather bracelet.  Considering the lengths they went to with the Nato strap (woven from angel hair by the Vatican choir boys, and all that) you think they could have come up with something a little better for the leather option.

I was almost set on getting the leather strap when I got mine, but when I had it in hand I couldn't believe how cheap it felt. I actually in inquired on purchasing it separately, but they quoted me like $800 for the strap and deployant clasp! No thanks! I'd rather spend $150 on something made with high quality leather.

I have mine on the nylon strap now, and it is super comfortable.

Wow, I cried paying $140 for my leather Nato strap. $800 is nuts.

The fabric strap is amazingly comfortable and durable. I've had mine on the strap for about a year and it still looks great.

It's already sold out, but they are running a waiting list in case someone decides to pass.

Personally, I'd drop the cash on a HMX and spider clock instead.

Tag Heuer have released the first details of their Connected smartwatch, along with the mandatory teaser shot.

According to Wareable, it's going to arrive on 9th November in the US at a price of $1400. The official website is currently displaying little more than a countdown.

OK, so what's interesting about it?

From a nerd angle, it's using an Intel, rather than ARM based CPU. That's a bit of a turn-up, as Intel doesn't tend to compete so well on low power designs.

The other thing is that Tag Heuer are talking about it being upgradeable. Given the inexorable march of Moore's Law, electronics don't have much of a lifespan. Being able to swap out the motherboard for something a bit hotter down the line will extend this. In particular, lithium batteries degrade over time.

I'm looking forward to seeing what it comes out like. The Apple Watch is probably the closest competitor, though the Tag echoes a more traditional Swiss watch design.
