I love my 301s. Top block is a little loose for my build. But still a nice fit

My 301s one week after being re-purposed from everyday jeans to "building-the-veranda" jeans. Well on their way to getting properly fekked up. More pics after I wash 'em.

Veranda nearly finished, they've tackled the job well. Off for a wash, perhaps?

I tried these on yesterday at self edge and pretty much loved them. My only complaint is that the top block seemed a little loose. I tried on the size 33 and everything was just the right fit but I still had some waist space left over. My current pair is super tight in the waist for a 33 (DWC-UHR) but I really don't like the fit much below the knees. I think these will be in the lineup for my next pair.

I don't recommend sizing down lightly, but consider it. Lots of stretch and that top block issue is absolutely a thing. Great jeans, though.

Thanks. I will definitely have to give them another look when I'm ready to buy. I'm thinking 777s might be my other option.

Yeah, I have the 555-01 and the 301S in the 21oz denim. 301S in 36 and 555 in 34. Natural waist is 36. The stretch I got from the 21oz combined with the loose topblock made them a little too big after awhile. My pair pictured above have become my workpants because of this. The 555 had a measured waist of 35" and with the stretch they now fit like they should.

I'll get the 777 when they do it in another denim. Two pairs of 21oz is enough  😞

Hey guys I'm new to Iron heart jeans. I'm looking at getting a pair of the ih301s but not sure what size to get being ok not near a store to try on. I typically wear a 28-29 I'm apc petit standards and I'm 5'10 152lb. Some other people I've spoken with have told me to go with a sz 30-31 bc the 301s run smaller? Just wanted to get your input bc I know they stretch some after wear. Thx

Measure the APC's that fit you best at the waist. I guess you'll need to measure them as Self Edge measures instead of the IH way as you'll be buying from SE. When you know the actual waist of those jeans, then buy the 301s that measure about 1 inch less than them.

I size down in 301s compared to my other IH bottoms (555-01 and 666).

Tried these on at SESF the other day. So close to perfect. I almost bought them even tho I have a fairly new jeans right now.

Just picked up a very gently used pair of these, and I'm in love! The fabric is so soft compared to 666-XHS, and the fit is the dead-on nuts. Love my 666, but these…wow. Gave them a soak last night to ward off cooties and can't wait to put them on tonight and not take them off for weeks.

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. I ordered a pair of the 301s from SE and I love the softness of the jeans. But because I'm short, 5'2", with the hem I lost most of the taper.

^size 36 mate? @Appfaff …these would look best with 3" less denim in length imo 😉

Had to go with a 38… I got the sz 36 in the 301N for Xmas and couldn't get them over my hips, so exchanged them for these. I had a sz 38 9301 years ago and remembered them being super baggy and the hem large, but these are much slimmer in the top block and calf - which is a good thing.

And yes they are crazy long, I wanted to make sure they worked for me before hemming just in case...

I'll be having a hemming schedule with Indigo Proof starting in the taking turns sending batches over to them lol

Fit check. Kind of worried these are too short because I hemmed them to 30 and I usually wear 32 length. These are my first pair of heavy weight denim. What do you guys think?
