I am having issues uploading my photos since yesterday. When I connect my S90 to my computer it should automatically open up my chosen Program to upload the photos. I have checked the preferences, rebooted the computer, tried both USB ports, checked the cord, etc… Help if you can. Thanks!

have u tried to connect it to another computer?

Yes, and it says "Communication Error" on the Camera Display Screen…

communication error? maybe it's from the camera, does the memory card works?

It isn't the camera. I have narrowed it down to the memory card. I just bought a new one recently and tried it, it works. The message "Communication Error" only comes up when my old card is in the camera. Damn, I hope last nights photos are not screwed… They show up on the camera...

SD card?.. I'd try putting it into another device (smartphone) and check from there…

Problem solved. Card was maxed out. Thought it would tell me it was full. Erased a few photos and was able to upload the remainders. New card, PERFECT TIMING!

No idea what I'm doing wrong, but all my pics are turning out shitty… Out of focus, red eyes,... What are some adviced/ general setting to take pics inside with shitty light (from a bulb) and the autospanner function?..

                      Camera's a Lumix DMC-ZX1 if that helps...

with a small point and shoot you will have to use auto and flash. there's no way you will get crisp pics w/o flash, and red eyes is a problem for most cameras

some point and shoots have in-camera red eye reduction…and some photo programs have it for post-processing..

otherwise ways to help- don't use zoom too much, walk closer to subjects..and shoot at a slight angle...red eye is from a direct reflection of flash from the eyes.

I use flash… Don't really use a zoom... Thing is I used to be able to take pics without the eyes showing up all red... It's set to reduce the red-eye effect even...

By 'auto' you mean 'auto-intelligence' Beats?.. Cause it's a bit better with that, but I never used the function til I started having issues with the standard function...

yeah…maybe turn on all the lights you have in whatever room your taking ppics - helps the camera to focus prior to flash

Giles, ultrasonic refers to the type of motor the lens uses. With Canon they call it "USM", which is now pretty
standard technology on most of their middle through top end lenses. Ultrasonic motors tend to be
quieter than the previous technology also I believe.

                                          Just got this thing

Attaches to the bottom of your point and shoot via tripod attachment

Then you put it on top of any bottle of water/soda and use it as a tripod

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose
