It looks like I have some space left in my W36…Do you guys think I will be able to size down to a 35?

Looks like you could. You can ask Gordon to measure a 35 for you, as the last 710 OG and BKB ran pretty small. Not sure about the XX.

^ Thanks for the advice Max. I'll try to e-mail BiG in a bit…

Do you guys think that a W35 would be the "right" fit for the 710xx? I don't think I can go down to W34 unless I lose some serious weight (it's because I like booze more than jeans).

Here's a fit pic of my size 36 after another wash. I don't think there's anymore shrinkage left.

Based on this picture, would a 35 be a "proper size" for this cut or should I be looking at a different model?

BiG has one pair of w35 left… Will sizing down one size make a big difference from my 36? Based on the above do you guys think a 35 would look good?

I don't find the fit above way too big and I am still wondering that you wore them 6 months and then ask about the fit 😉

And yes, a size 35 will look smaller but not by much

Based on your bodytype, I don't think you should go with a slimmer cut.I think the above fit looks good, sizing down might not do much difference.

Ok, I accept that as an excuse 😃 😉

Well, the fit above doesn't look bad but if your goal is too achieve a slimmer fit, I am not sure if Samurai will be the brand you should choose. The S003JP would be slimmer or the 711 (tight straight fit).

A size down…you have enough room in the knee area and below the knee. But only you know how much room your current size 36 gives you 🙂

Thinking of buying myself another pair of jeans for my birthday and was looking through BIG's sizing charts and was wondering if a W35 0500x would fit me better than my W36 710xx.

Would the 0500x give me a more fitted look? Any advice/input would be appreciated…

The 0500 in size 35 would look nearly the same as a 710 in size 36.
So still, if you wanan go slimmer, size down on the 710

I recently bought some Samurai Jeans s710xx 24oz from 2nd Japan.  I received them last week.  I then soaked them and let them dry.  When I tried them on and got them fully buttoned, I noticed the top button got very loose.  Is this normal?  Is it due to the thick denim or is this a defective button?  It bothers me because these are brand new jeans.  Does anyone know if its possible to get a replacement button and get it put on the jeans?  I have several pairs of Samurai Jeans, as well as, Iron Hearts.  I've never had this problem before.  Should I worry or just try to let it go?  I've attached some picks, thanks!

Thanks for the response, however; I'm kinda OCD and would like to get a replacement button from Samurai.  I did email them and also 2nd Japan.  Hopefully they will respond but I don't think 2nd's staff speaks English.

@714hamilton281 that is definitely not how it should look, but also not terribly unusual on heavy denim.  I do not have any experience with Samurai but if they are anything like Iron Heart I suspect they will ask you to send the jeans back so they can be repaired or have a new pair sent to you…...  Assuming you have not hemmed them yet.

I think even if he got them hemmed, Samurai should stand behind their product and do what needs to be done to fix the issue. I'm sure they will.
