Any Levis fans know how comparable in fit these are to levis 511s?

I will bust out my 511s tomorrow and get to measuring but 511s are the best fitting jeans I have ever found and these look like a very similar silhouette. I would LOVE to have an IH clone of some 511s.

My problem with jeans is always in the thigh. I usually need a waist size that is 1 size bigger so I fit in the thighs. 511s are roomier in the top block but have an aggressive taper. Thanks guys.

do the measuring, a pair in tag size 32, goes from thigh 11,6 to 7,5 at the hem for example, no idea if that's enough for you…

Not much clue about Levi's. Been a long while since the last time. Measuring is the best bet. Even then you should keep in mind that 8oz denim and 21oz denim are entirely different beasts. Your external thigh measurements for your Levi's, repeated exactly with IH will give you a snugger fit. So factor that in.

Do you have any experience with IH jeans? Especially the 21oz?

              thanks for your input neph.

Only pair of IH I have are a pair of SRs that I have been beating on since they released.

Another jean that fits me well is the N&F weird guy cut. Again, roomier top block (but shorter rise) and a heavy taper. N&F just make garbage jeans. I have purchased 3 pairs and I rip off belt loops and they completly come unstiched in random places.

SR's? Either way you may or may not know this but the 21oz will stretch. Not a lot in the thigh but at least an inch, maybe two, in the waist. So let thigh measurement be your guide after measuring your Levi's. As long as the waist is ballpark it'll either stretch to fit or you can use a belt.

I struggle with 666's because to get a decent thigh fit I have to size up the waist too much. 555's and 301's don't give me that problem. The measurements of these would also work for me. Only reason I haven't bought them is I don't need more jeans in the same denim. If Giles brings  some SBG heat to this cut then I'm in like Flynn.

One more thing, the 555, "super slim" is IH super slim. That is to say it's not super slim by more commercial brands standards. It's a standard slim tapered fit and more forgiving than N&F's weird guy. Not skinny or anything like that. If you get into weird guy then 555's or 777's will be great.

I usually like the waist a little bigger anyways because I carry my pistol inside the waistband so thats no problem.

I have heard people having problems with the 666s in the thigh so that almost automatically puts me out for them. I train legs twice a week, I have tree trunks for legs.

After hearing your thoughts about the 555s and the 301s im going to look into them if the thighs are a little roomier.

my legs fit weird guys fine. Im actually typing this right now in some cut off WG Elephant IIIs. Ill Definitely look into the 555s and 777s.

Thanks for all the great info man. looks like I have some measuring to do Maybe Ill buy the 2 that look like they will fit the best on paper and keep whichever pair fits the best. Or keep both and tell my wife I only kept one…

                      Ok, SR's. Good stuff!

Sounds to me like you might end up spoilt for choice. I would say 301s is the roomiest of the three slim tapered cuts and 555 the slimmest although there isn't much in it. 777 seems in the middle but with a stronger taper. Then there's differences in top block and rise.

And you know with IH there'll be no bullshit with things falling of like N&F.  Good luck and if you need to know something specific about 301 or 555, shout out.

And plans for other denim/fabrics? I really want to own something in this cut but having 2 pairs in the 21oz already, I'd rather try something new. You've intimated before that you feel that UHR or XHS denim in the 555 is out of the question. Do you feel the same way about this cut?

If I could choose I'd be all over this in the XHS fabric (and damn the lack of blood flowing to my feet). Alternatively the 18oz or double duck would be super tasty.
