My previous pair of IH:s were a pair of IH-666S in sz 32. The waist was perfect, but they ended up being too tight in the top block all around. Ended up having to sell them, and I've been looking awhile for a good replacement. These should fit the bill.

I've looked into these and the 21oz version, figure one of them will be my next pair (and since Volls has these, I'm super tempted). However, I'd like some advice on sizing, would going with 32 sound reasonable?

                UHR chicken legs? 😛

I'm wearing mine today. Fortunately we're heading into winter Down Under.

I went to a job interview in them, which is one thing that I got knocked back for. I did explain that my suit's in transit still. I probably should have pointed out that my clothing was better quality than most suits the corporates wear too.

How about some pics @Graeme ? If it's any consolation, I'm wearing my as yet unwashed and unsoaked 634 UHRS to work today!

Battled with my 25 oz, won the war!

The 21oz fares surprisingly surprising well even in the worst of months (Aug & Sep for me) . I used to wear diesel and the 21oz kept so much cooler (provided they are fully broken in)

@zatenm thanks for the reply.  I've got some 634 in the 21oz and your right they are much cooler.  Luckily everywhere is fully air con.  And as the weekend starts today here,  I'll be in the Belgian cafe drinking leffe beer with me 1955s on in about an hour

Pleasure @calhart. Really great to have a fellow Dubai resident on this forum! I came to London in 2013 after 5 years in the sandbox but am going back in all probability before end of this year…
Incidentally, Belgium Beer cafe was my go-to drinking hole 😉 The one in Tecom. I used to live in the building across the street from it. Happy drinking with your 1955s!

                                      I'm seriously considering getting a pair of 1955-UHR while they still exist through Volls. I'm currently wearing 634-XHS size 33 for the DWC Tux division, and they fit very well. I'd like a little more room in the thighs but I don't want baggy, and a slightly higher rise. I've got some questions I'm hoping fella's with experience with these can help me out with;

sizing - I'm usually a 33 in almost every brand and model I have/had. Given this UHR is raw and will shrink when washed - and I plan on washing regularly - and stretch with wear, and the cut is more generous than the 634, I don't know if I should go with a 33 or size down to a 32.

Details - I see they have lined rear pockets and sewn-in belt loops. Is there a selvedge edge at the fly? I see on one side it is lock stitched. Also, the belt loops look taller/longer and the pockets look lik ethey are cut lower down than the 634. If so, this is a big PLUS for me.

                                      Thanks fella's. Cheers! mpp

The fly doesn't have a selvedge edge. It's lock stitched on both sides. 😞

The rear pockets are lined, and the belt loops are sewn in. I'm not sure how these vary from a pair of 634s.

My pair are a size 33, which measured 34" when I got them. They've stretched back out to 34" or maybe even 35".

What size you wear in other brands is irrelevant, tag sizing is mostly fiction in this industry.  As we say on the webpage, you need to do this:

                                          http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2835.0

                                          Webpage says:

Will shrink to about 1/2" smaller than tagsize in the waist and approx 2 inch in the inseam, but after a month or two of wear will stretch back to approx pre-soak size.

The fly does not show selvedge id.

Belt loops and the same size and it is possible that the pockets look lower down because the rear rise is larger than the IH-634S

These really are anti-modern grampa jeans… I kinda get 'm and love 'm but not sure whether they're for me... Fabric is amazeballs though...
