SExIH Dark Rider Flannel

^ isnt it considered a 'workshirt' and dont they tend to have pockets as such for easily dropping in things or getting a pen or something? anyone? Lando? Pete?
-
dep - This was always my understanding of it. As the standard definition of a Workshirt is usually just "heavy-duty shirts worn for manual or physical work" and does not specifically discuss the function of the pockets, I cannot say for sure. I'm sure someone will clarify if I don't find anymore info in the next short while…
Edit: Till - History of the WorkShirt?

Thank you for that quick, detailed, and simple explanation. I Knew you could help out here!
@tfar:
Now the real question is, will the "non-flap" pocket accept an Iphone when buttoned?
I will get this answered for everyone tomorrow.

As I do not own this shirt and most likely will not because it did not agree fit wise with my body type,
Lando, how does the fit differ from the other IH shirts? The measurements on the SelfEdge website say the Medium has 17in shoulder and a 41.5in chest, which are very similar to the typical IH shirt.

Okay so I should say this publicly as not to confuse. I LOVE this shirt, it just did not fit me properly. I felt that it was too "boxy." Now, I understand that WorkShirts are supposed to be less fitted and were originally made and still are for easy maneuverability and comfort while doing manual labor. That being said, I could not justify paying the price asked for a shirt that I was unhappy with the fit.
So I went into SE expecting to pick up a XL, as a good 95% or my IH Shirts are. On the way over I spoke to PETEROCK who had just picked one up for himself. Him and I are typically the same size in IH Shirts so I tend to compare notes in order to benefit us both. He told me that he grabbed a L so I thought well maybe that has to do with it being a WorkShirt. I first tried on the L and was surprised to find that it was not what I was looking for. I am rather lanky so I like the torso to be longer vertically and like the opening to be smaller or at least closed lower with more buttons (Also a feature not typically seen on WorkShirts). Kiya looked at me and said, "Dude, you are a Medium." Against all previous beliefs, I tried on the M which actually fit perfectly… If I only wore a T-Shirt underneath. I like to layer and layer heavy. This shirt in a size M would not allow for that. The L would have, but the fit was suck that it would have looked much larger than the bottom half of my profile (Something I am not a fan of. Reminds me of dudes that wear super over sized T-Shirts that look like dresses). I also tried on the XL to compare it to my collection.... Hilariously over sized!
As far as the measurements are concerned, your guess is as good as mine. I have come to realize that every shirt fits differently as they are all individually made as opposed to mass produced. We must leave room for human error (I believe Giles has spoken about Haraki's words on this topic but I can not remember where that was). -
Wondering if anyone is going to jump on these at the current price of $299?

Deeply contemplating…
Thanks for bumping this Lando, else I wouldn't have seen your review/recommendation.
