Members should not be banned from the forum but instead only allowed to post within a 'penal' thread for a limited period dependent on the severity of their 'crime', decided by the mods.

Subjective.
Also, I think I found a better way to state this… People way too often conflate hard wear with looking good. It's impressive for sure, but just because you wore something a lot and changed how it looks doesn't mean it's for the better.
