Just got these bad guys in today and man are they stiff I was not expecting them to be as difficult as they were to put on and especially button  afraid to soak them lol thinking if I should have sized up or what they fit good now pre soak and the waist is good but it feels snug I'm thinking more from the stiffness of the material thoughts before the soak?

I work in the wastewater field so I have to think that I will be washing/soaking more often than most others will.

Part of me wishes I would've gotten a pair of these seeing how nicely they came out.
The other half of me says thanks since it's already in the mid 80's here.

@superfuzz thanks! Mine should be in tomorrow! Hopefully they are lose enough that I won't mind giving them the full wash.

I got my 555-03s nice and broken in to where they are comfortable to wear over the past 2 days.

So I decided to take a crack at these today. The UHR denim is really amazing. Pics don't really do 'em justice. They have to be seen to be believed. The indigo is a much deeper shade than I had anticipated. It feels scratchy and stiff with an awesome flannely/hairy soft hand above all the scratchiness. I gave them a 4 hour hot soak and have yet to be able to button up the 2nd to the last button.

These are really outstanding, and a great follow-up to the 25 oz. denim I've been wearing for the last year. The Iron Heart crew definitely has my unyielding respect and admiration. Thanks a lot.

Just got mine. Took a while to button them up pre-soak. And the high rise is takes a little getting used to. I think if I sized up then they would be too relaxed of a fit. My waist is going to hate me.

Bam!  Thanks for the quick shipping and hemming my contest jeans Stubborn crew.  It might be tomorrow before I can soak them, but I'm definitely going to try them on today.

Nice is that a cold soak as recommended or did you go for hot?

Here's a pre-soak pic. I went with my regular size 28. I think they will be great after they shrink up a bit, although the waist is going to be a killer!

I am following the instructions to the letter. My pre soak fit was pretty tight so I'm picturing insane pain with these….might have to drop a few pounds before I can wear them in anger.

No @Megatron1505 ! Straight in is no soak, no wash, no nothing!

That's what I did with my 634 UHRs on Sunday - I'm still a bit sore, mind you!

@Giles will caution against this, though as the denim is so abrasive it can cut the stitching! The overall first try of those UHRs made me check stock levels, though - if I've found the perfect pair of jeans I will need a pair in reserve! The 1955 UHRs are coming on nicely and I like the 666 UHRs too…but the lack of an orange arcuate meant the DWC variant didn't appeal to me!

Battled with my 25 oz, won the war!
