I saw the Haglöfs Ryggsäck N:o 1 in the Carryology Awards, and am rather smitten. What is it with the Scandinavians? 😘

The bag's a limited edition of a thousand pieces to celebrate Haglöfs' centenary. Everything on the bag is produced in Sweden, which apparently was quite difficult to achieve.

It's made of Cordura and leather with wool felt as padding. The capacity is around 24 litres. A few places have it in stock for around €500.

I use my GR1 every day for work, it's the toughest bag I have ever seen (apart from my dog chewing some of the strap off). I actually appreciate it more now than when I got it and I would buy another one.

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely love mine.

Thanks for the Rucker updates guys. Good to hear that you who own them still love them. Just the hype's dropped out of the market for them then.

Yeh, not really sure what happened there. They got a lot of bad press over the strap detachment issue when they moved some production to Korea (I think?), and never really recovered.

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

A lot of the carriers in Oz only allow hand luggage that meets the 105 cm size for domestic flights, which means it has to fit into 48 cm x 34 cm x 23 cm.

I said earlier that the Kletterwerks packs are a bit small, but their Summit Daypack measures in at 46 cm x 33 cm x 20 cm, which would sit nicely in the 105 cm box. They list the size as 1100 cubic inches, about 18 litres, but I think that it's going to be closer to 30 if the measurements are accurate.

It also comes in a vibrant shade of red…

And how's the GoRucker's doing out there? Haven't heard about GoRuck for what feels like forever now..

Still use my GR1 on a regular basis.  Absolutely no complaints…

That being said, I kinda want to pick up one of Archival Clothings packs, as I absolutely love my Field Bag by them...

These may not be as impeccable as some of the previously posted bags, the Project LUV Seat bags are sorta cool, nonetheless.

An update on my Tom Bihn Brain Bag. I took it to India with me last month, and the bag is still a royal pain in the ass. Bag still feels cheap, zipper constantly catching with the bag cover on all pockets. Straps are crazy sized.

Really tempted to throw away and cut my losses, however, would need another work travel bag, and that I don't have :|.

Nice. I am sure it is a versatile bag. Don't you also have the other version with the pals webbing on the front?

I have a Bagjack NXL coming my way. I am really looking forward it.

Yeah, I have a much larger version that I installed a Bagjack laptop sleeve into as well. Their stuff is awesome.

Correct, backpack & ability to handle a decent storm/shower/rain are 'the' thing.

One of those rolltop Mission Workshop packs would suit that well I think.

Sorry to hear that the Brain Bag has let you down @Snowy, I hope that you find a replacement soon.

Carryology have got a buyers guide up. It's still in Beta, and only covers backpacks, but it might help narrow the choices down, or make new suggestions.

The amount of times I've nearly pulled the trigger there or on a bag from Chrome is a lot :). Will give a bit more thought on their models, thanks.

Roger that, my daily has gone back to my Briggs & Riley ruck. It's so small but holds so much. Not then prettiest thing in the world but functional and rain resistant.
