Watches - another OCD problem

Wanted to share the super-quartz movement in my Citizen Chronomaster. Keeps time to about 1.2 seconds a year when on the wrist. My understanding is that this is a hand made movement. Simple looking but beautiful IMO.

MMT have developed a technology platform that's going to allow for Swiss quartz watches to be integrated with a smartphone. It doesn't sound any more sophisticated than something like the Withings trackers, albeit at a higher price point. There's more on aBlogToWatch. http://www.ablogtowatch.com/mmt-horological-smartwatch-platform-ties-switzerland-silicon-valley/

Lovely Tissot you have there. I am sure your gramps would be proud to know how much you appreciate it.

Thanks, Davito. Not worn it for years, had to dig out the photo. I did enjoy it though, in its day. Relatively flat and if I leave mine out in the sun all day, or on the windowsill, I can still get maybe 30 seconds of glow from it. A bit of the 60s in that glow. They also made the same model with a date like nizzel55's….I think I have another one somewhere, much later gold quartz w/italicized face. Don't know what I was thinking of. Must have been a trade. Here's another, with old radium, all gone though, from perhaps a bit later, the early 70s?, by Titoni.

Love the Tissot. Reminds me very much of the Omega Rail watch. Funny how Omega and Tissot share so much history and are now owned by the same group.
