Are these going to be the same as the IHxRH colabs (minus patch obviously)? If so then they are fabulous.

Cut is the same.  Arcs will be our normal yellow.

Gents, I'm looking for a little help with sizing on the 666s.

Up until about a year ago, I had no idea what selvedge denim was. Started to wade into the waters via a KS brand. Now I really want to try IH denim. My preference is for a slimmer cut.

I measured a pair of denim that fit me pretty well after around 15 wears:

          Waist: 17.5" / 44cm
          Rise: 10.5" / 27cm
          Thigh: 12.25" / 31cm
          Knee: 8.5" / 21cm
          Hem: 8" / 20cm

I originally emailed Giles asking if the 33 or 34 would be a better fit based on the above and was told I probably wouldn't even be able to get into the 33. Since then, I have reread the description on the site more closely and now realize the 666s are unsanforized - making me wonder if even the 34 might be too small. I've never worn unsanforized before and have no idea how these might shrink when water hits them.

Based on the measurements above, do you guys think a 34 will work? If they only shrink an inch in the waist, I should be good to go. Plus, I am hoping the 8.5" hem will shrink as well.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Based on those measurements I would try a 555-01 or 02 in a 34 waist.

Thanks Megatron. I thought about the 555 but am afraid, being unsanforized, these would be almost too slim. The hem is pretty small on the 34 (7.8") given that it would shrink smaller with a wash.

I keep eyeing the 666s to try a bit of a different cut. The site says they'll go down 1" in the waist and I think I'll be fine with a 34" waist, especially with a higher rise (11.5"). How much can I expect to see with the other measurements? For example, the hem on the 34 is 8.5" pre-wash; what should I expect after a soak?

                1. The IH-555-01 are sanforised.  The IH-555-02 are unsanforised.

                2. There are no IH-666S with a 34" waist at the moment - take a look at the sizing table

                  I am seeing 7 pairs in stock for the 34 waist IH-666S? No 555-01 and 4 555-02.

On the 555-02 you will get about an inch of shrink in the waist and length, but minimal shrink in the thigh, knee and hem, .25" at the most. They will also stretch back out a little with wear.

You are seeing 7 pairs of tag size 34 in the IH-666S.  Have you looked at the actual measurements under the "sizing" tab?

Trust you to come up with very enviable fades, nizzel! Have they stretched a lot? They look so loose for a 666 to me…I'd almost recommend a size down for the next one.

Thanks, Nizzel. I will never become a good denim version of Sherlock Holmes, as weight loss naturally is the other possible explanation of a 666 fitting so, shall we say, comfortably.

My sons were doing the skinnies for a while, but I have them converted now and in "properly fitted" 634s. (My mother had us boys in Sears Toughskins, with preventative, iron-on knee patches.)
