According to an interview I read with her they are basically people who she knows, including the photographers.

I'm doing a similar book later this year using people I know like @Chris and @Seul , I'm calling it "Arseholes in Iron Heart"

Considering the incredible popularity of denim, the wealth of decent archive material, the intelligent and passionate people involved in the business, I am stunned that there really is not a decent book out there on denim.  I have got or have had them all, most I have given away in disgust…...

I think so.  Meant to be 1" letters, but there is so much disinformation on the web.  Last one was 7/16" (I think)…..
