Schmidt Shirt

Well look what landed today.
Pretty excited.
The moleskin is done soft side in and the reverse is a satin twill. It feels like a super cozy, super sturdy military cloth, an M-65 out of this would be ridiculous. We went with an internal pocket on the right breast. The buttons are chunky and well shaped.
A curved yoke, I opted for a tropical chambray to remind me of summer. Jan made a double inside pocket, top entry and a pocket watch styled angular entry as requested. I wanted to be able to get in to the pocket without fully unbuttoning and this pattern is perfect. I can't understate how great this dude is to collaborate with on shirts. He's skilled enough to pull off whatever pattern you conceive exactly to order. He throws out great suggestions and options through the process.
It's the little things and the details… This pouch was added to the inside pocket.

so the weather hasn't cooperated with me taking the tour shirt out & about very much. I've washed it to get my funk out of it & am getting it ready to send along to the next party
, but before I do I want to try to take it to two places where quality denim goods are appreciated.Sending out to the next party, stay tuned. . .

many thanks to jan who sold me one of the shirts from his Work shop Clean Up selection on his website. the shirt speaks for its self; hand made, great quality, pre-worn so with some evo and a lovely fit - even though it wasn't tailored for me. if only my monkey arms were a bit shorter…no, if only the arms of the shirt were a tad longer. thanks again jan
