How about some shorts? I know chicken legs are always an option, but shorts would be great. They can be made with interesting fabrics that you might not make pants with. Like the paisley material for instance. Just brainstorming here. Not necessarily saying I'd want paisley shorts (although I might), but just using that as an example. Some really heavy chambray would make excellent shorts. They could come in a standard length with the option of custom chain stitching to shorten them further. It's hot in a lot of the climates IH fans live in, and I want to be able to wear IH year round. I'll help sample and test the new line of shorts 😉

Exactly. Like HEAVY chambray. I don't want to buy anything flimsy from Iron Heart. Over engineered shorts that age gracefully and beautifully.

If I remember correctly, shorts are as expensive to make as pants… Just stating it - not saying that's a dealbreaker per se...

Yeah, I can't imagine I'm the first person to think of this. What you're saying actually makes sense, and therefore, why not make pants (from a business perspective) and if the customer wants to cut them down into shorts, no big deal.

Well then, new idea! Heavy ass chambray PANTS!

Yes, you save a bit of fabric that is all.  H would make them for me, but there is no way I would sell 100 pairs per material….

I've seen some denim dipped in indigo and iron oxide. The end result is pretty badass. Is it feasible Iron Heart/Haraki would consider using iron in the future?

I'm going to bring this up again.  I know a few others have mentioned it too. Moleskin.  The stuff is seriously tough, holds up to heavy abuse and ages beautifully.  I would buy an 816 cut in charcoal, chocolate and a dark camel.  I think these would sell.  Perfect work pants in colors that aren't currently offered.  Haraki's take on heavy moleskin would be amazing.
