i love mine but it's "so stiff" i don't wear it - and since i don't wear it, it stays "so stiff". i just need to man up and wear the crap out of it.

Someone on the forum asked for some fit pics so I took these (poor) pics with my cel phone.  Thought I'd share them with the other forum members as well as my "review". This jacket is a true motorcycle jacket - heavy weight, longer sleeves so you have coverage when you reach for the bars, and relatively short in the torso so it doesn't bunch up when you are in riding position on the bike.  I like this jacket - it is a tough SOB, but just wearing it on the bike it will take a really long time to break in - it is really stiff.  My wife is not crazy about it - she thinks it's too short in the torso (definitely not too short in sleeves) - but it works great on the bike and I really like it.  This one is very "fitted" on me - comfortable, with plenty of room to wear over a t-shirt or light weight long sleeve shirts (like Nike fitted workout shirts) - but I couldn't wear this comfortably over a hoody or heavy sweatshirt.  If you you want to layer with it you should size up.  I wear this jacket on the bike when it is between around ~50-80 degrees - so basically for Spring and Fall riding.  I've worn it maybe a dozen times and it still looks brand new. I need to wear it A LOT more to break it in.  It is highly functional and I like this much more than my leather jacket - and I have no doubt it will protect me if I ever go down.

Fit looks great Bluegrass!  This is how my Superblack Riders fits me, and I prefer it that way.

          Wear it hard!

This might be a dumb question but how much do these jackets bleed onto your shirts underneath?  If I consistently wear a white tshirt underneath, should I plan to have these slowly fade to light blue?

Sorry you haven't got a response in some time. I would say they bleed enough. Kind of like the blue onto your shoes from your jeans. I would guess it won't happen on one wear (unless maybe it gets wet) but I wouldn't wear anything you're afraid might change color. I wear mostly darker colors so I haven't noticed anything specific.

Oh and just so I'm clear, i would only really expect color to wear on the parts that are showing the outer indigo on the inside of the jacket.

@Giles ,This really is a great jacket. As you know I just wore it to Gosport, I decided this will be this years winter jacket. I get more compliments on this jacket than almost anything I wear. Today by a flight attendant on boarding my flight, then by the hotel receptionist.

My Rider about a year after taking the initial pics.  It has softened up a lot but it's still fighting me.  I plan to really try to wear this more/a lot this Fall-Spring.

This truly is such a functional jacket for the purpose it was designed (riding a motorcycle)… It's perfect really.

This jacket is terrific! I can't wait to get to my blanket lined one waiting for me at the house! I'm working out of state. The wait is driving me crazy.

@Filthy25ozJunkie you will love the 527J-SP - the blanket and insulated sleeves really do keep you nice and warm. I upsided mine so I can wear hoodies underneath when it's really cold out and works like a charm.

@Bluegrass perfect fit on your rider jacket! Looks like the combs around the elbows are getting nice and set in!

Thanks - yes, the elbows are looking good - this one is going to be really slow to break in, but the pics I've seen of well-worn 527Js tell me it is going to be fantastic.  Having a sedentary job makes it hard to get much "hard" wear under my belt.  Patience is my only choice and it will pay off eventually…
