Watches - another OCD problem
-
That's the one, very nice. My ultimate Seiko diver's watch would be the SBDX001 (Marinemaster) - not sure if it's better known as something else!
-
^^ The SBDX001 is an awesome watch, and it's the one I've been referring to as the MM300. For some reason it doesn't have an affectionate nickname like seiko's other divers, but it seems that the most common appellation is MM300. I'm trying to decide between that and the tuna. Actually my plan was to get the tuna first and the MM300 later, but now I'm very tempted to go for the new limited edition version of the MM300, the SBDX012, which will be produced in a limited edition run of 1000 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Seiko diver. It is pretty much the same as the standard MM300, but has gold details and highly scratch resistant diashield coating.

I (finally) decided to go with this cheap workhorse…

For 155 €, you get:
- a Japan made watch
- with a sapphire dial
- and a titanium bracelet
- Japanese quartz mvt that runs on light (no battery needed!)
- 5 year warranty
I dare you to find better value for money… Granted: you might find a less dull looking watch for the money but I'll be saving for a nice dress watch anyhow...

The Japan made Citizen and Seikos always punch high for the price. Sometimes they look dull in pics, but on the wrist you can pick up all of the subtleties that only natural light can define. The Citizen Chronomaster looks like something from JC Penny… Until you see it in person! Mind blowingly beautiful. So nicely done Seul! As for a higher end dress watch, go for a Nomos!

These are the specs: http://www.nywatchstore.com/aw124057l.html
As for dress watch: first Seiko SARB065, in the long run I want an Omega Aqua Terra, blue dial, 41.5mm…

Good taste Mr Seul. I almost forgot to post the watch my wife bought me for Christmas. It is a Nomos New York Sundial. You set the date on the outer ring and allow the sun to shine on the aperture which projects onto the inner ring which shows the time. Be it a little unconventional but pretty neat!
-
Interesting, how accurate is it? Nomos always does cool stuff.

Happy new year @den1mhead & @Black Orchid

Happy New Year to you and Paula. Had to join den1mhead, couldn't face being an IH widow any longer and of course then there is the Denim
