Watches - another OCD problem
-
hahaha. maybe because i have one that's why i'd fancy it that much. though i'm still longing for the gmt with the pepsi bezel
ps. my previous post should've been bezel instead of dial…
-
New one from Seiko. Unfortunately haven't seen any pics yet of it on a strap other than the nasty stock one…..
-
awww those lume….

Each their own mate :). If we all liked the same things it'd be very boring. I like the look, just see it a lot.
Still thinking an IWC might be my next at some point….

That's part of my disinterest in Rolexes- I see them a lot. In fact, today I saw a Datejust, a Sub, and a Daytona at a worksite that had 10-15 people. No Pepsi bezels, to be fair.
-
I love datejusts! Can definitely see myself owning one eventually…
-
Despite the fact that Rolexes are so popular, I still plan to buy a Sub in the next couple of years - it's a classic design that's been copied by all and sundry, but it's still the original, and possibly definitive 'tool' watch.
In a similar vein, if Rolex ever decide to price the new Cerachrom Pepsi bezel GMT in line with the standard GMT's, I'll definitely be picking one of those up too!
-
My love for the Rolex sub is fading in direct proportion to my rising love for the Tudor snowflake sub.

I generally at least try under play my hand a little bit on first glance. Fair enough when you get to know me I may be a wanker who spends too much on fancy stuff and be a DINK, however, from that first glance before I've opened my mouth, there's no impression, other than neat or put together…That's what I aim for anyhow....either that or unique, but not in a "unique" way, just not the same as the others...
-
^compleyely agree snowy.
Also, can anyone explain to me the relationship, if there is any, between Rolex and Tudor? For some reason I recall that on a watch forum they were under the same sub thread…
-
Tudor is daughter Company of rolex which is owned by the family foundation.

If you come to Zurich you'll see all brands and models on the wrists of people from all over the world, very exciting. I had once the pleasure to meet jarno Trulli the F1 Pilot who is ambassadeur for audemaurs piguet. At this event someone had a backpack full of watches way over a Million worth, crazy pretty nice guy
I love rolex had some and will prob buy one again in future. Atm i am wearing owning no watches beside a present from my love
And re the "Image" of rolex i dont care, they are Tool watches. Engineer watch in 50's = milgauss, first watch on Mount Everest = Hillary explorer, first watch through channel to England on a swimmers wrist = oyster case, watches on oil plattforms in 70's = comex sub, Concorde Pilots watches = GMT etc

this is just a small part of Rolex rich history

yeah. fair enough mate. it's definitely going to be boring if we all looked the same. heck. we'll all be robots if that was the case. good to have different likes and dislikes.

yeah. the white gold on the current gmt with that cerachrom pepsi is just way too much. especially for the price. 30k i last remembered. the glow on that pepsi cerachrom is undoubtly nice. but i just fins that there's something missing or lacking when being compared to the original peisi bezel.
