Freewheelers and Co.

^I think I may be able to shrink it some. I can't read the tag (in Japanese) on it but I'm pretty sure I can wash it. I can't remember if these are one wash or not. Love the shirt though. I know some don't like the shape of the pocket flaps but that was one of the reasons I like the shirt.
-
If it's wool probably best to not wash, no?
-
Agreed on the pocket flaps @veloaudio , to me that's what a CPO should look like.
-
I've unsuccessfully tried some translate apps so if anyone can help translate this tag I would really appreciate it.
-
Maybe Ishmael can help… And it's a shame that like most free wheelers stuff it looks long (probably even if you went a size down) since it looks pretty perfect for a cpo!
-
^He did on Denimbro. He said I won't get any shrinkage. Crushed. I love this shirt. @mclaincausey if you can find me a 17 I will sell you this 17.5
-
@veloaudio you speak Japanese?

CPO shirt showed up today. The fabric is amazing. I went with a size 17.5 (Pancho and Lefty sold out of 17 right as I was ordering) which from what I've read is a hard to find size. I bought it as an over-shirt and I think it fits fine except for maybe the length. Here it is over a 21. Thoughts?
I think it looks good, but I like longer shirts and as Chiba says the sleeves will be too short if you size down.
-
Thanks for the comments everyone. The shirt will be off to a new home soon. My quest for a size 17 begins…

That's too bad, I think it looks nice on you!

^Thanks but the front length is one of those little things that would bug me about the shirt and I wouldn't wear it as much. I have already sourced a 17 which I think will be better in the end. All the sites I have seen list the same sleeve length for the 17 and 17.5 so that should be fine. I want to wear the CPO over my 21, 35, 73(maybe) and 79. I think the 17 will be just fine for that.
-
I agree. Also, in my experience, if you think a shirt is too big you're not going to wear it. And the sleeve length will probably only change a little if anything… Cool you found a 17 so fast!
-
Sleeves can be a bit short before they start looking ridiculous IMO. I hope your new one fits you and your old one fits me, this is a grail item for me.

Chiba, the measurements on P&L are good: http://panchoandlefty.se/product/freewheelers-1920-us-navy-cpo-shirt/
