Yeh mate, I'm thinking a wash too. Looks a little big at the moment, especially in the arms.

Make that three votes.  If you get it just a touch smaller, it will look great.

great score - agree, seems like a wash will bring it down to a better fit.  plus the ass smell will be permanently extinguished!

And done. Just put it in the tub inside out with warmish water and gave some mild agitation. Not sure if it's enough to get all of the shrink out but the MF site has me afraid of marbling. If I get just a little sleeve shrink, I'll be a happy man. But to be honest I had the ass smell fixed ASAP 🙂

Got just a little shrinkage, mostly in the chest and shoulders. I may throw all caution into the wind at the end of the season and give it a gentle machine wash. As it is, I like the way it fits. It has form but it doesn't constrict motion. I really can't believe how warm it is for being just moleskin. It's about 34* here and I took a long walk and was toasty all the way. It also deflects the snow pretty well.

Agree it looks good, easy to layer, and you don't ever have to worry if you do wash it that it will be too small.  Great score you made there.

I think it looks great on you. I think some of the more period style wear can be tough to pull off but it looks like you nailed it. Also much respect to your dad and I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

Thanks guys, I agree it's different - but I figured anything with fabric this beautiful will speak for itself - I'm just along for the ride.  A bonus - it is surprisingly warm…..

Yeah it's a great fit/look on you. Great to see you being able to remember your father in your current dress. A little bit of him is with you at all times.

Thanks @Snowy - so true.  This cap is the "real deal" - amazing how quality endures.  He wore this cap all the time in the cooler weather, with his trademark "triple roll".  Now it's mine - and it is a very fond memory.
