mclaincausey - Those are my jeans! Glad you like 'em.
-
Very nice @Cold Summer . I didn't notice that was you.
-
thanks guys, i'm really loving them! i already have another pair with pioneer denim so I know just how great they're going to be in a few months.
-
Crazy how fast they evo.
-
Soak and wash info @grandmasterben ? lovely jawnery

Probably 4/5 hot washes since I got them… About a month ago. I don't think I could wash these enough for the denim to look bad since it's so spectacular. Crazy how long I had to wait to see any evo on my sugar canes!
-
Maybe it's cause I'm on my phone in a dark smokey room . . . but I don't see anything except a lone electric blue spot.
PLACE MARKED (check when I get home)
why so many washes in such a short amount of time?
-
There's def not a whole lot goin on, but you can just tell these are giving up the goods. Funny how blue my hands are sometimes…
I always get random stuff on my jeans that looks kinda jank (probably because I use them as a napkin...) and I just love how these look when they're washed really frequently. I think it speeds up the evo too. So they go in the wash!
-
Agreed snowy… Another thing I really like is I think it's the best way to train tracks. Considering how dark these are still you know it's gonna be good!
-
I would wash more, but I don't stink easily and my jeans stay pretty clean, and I find washing jeans to be a hassle.
I really enjoy the signature chatter that TFH denims have. It's very distinctive and beautiful.
-
I thought he got them a month ago. . . So a wash every week is "normal" ??
Okay I guess.
Different strokes 4 different folks.
-
I did, been wearing them every day since! Also, here in California we don't have winter and I do a decent amount of walking. If I lived somewhere cooler I definitely wouldn't need to wash them as much…
-
Paging one @Cold Summer . Question when you get a moment. As recently returned from over in Japan, and knowing where you worked, can you shed any light around how often peoples over there washed their jeans? I seem to recall you've mentioned it before, but couldn't dig it up. Thanks.

Oh & I saw a minute ago where the president of the Flathead, a warehouse employee & another person (sorry it was a while ago) all wore the same jeans and . . . Oh 4 get it, haha haha

The people I worked with washed their jeans all the time - most of them once every 1-2 weeks. There were a few exceptions but generally the people I knew in the subculture didn't really get the whole washing infrequently thing. FH denim responds well to fairly frequent washing but most of the people I was around didn't have very interesting fades. IMO I wouldn't wash it more often than once every 1-1.5 months if I wanted decent honeycombs. The texture and color looks nice with frequent washing though.
-
^ So it depends what you're after: if it's high contrast fades and whiskers, wash less frequently. If you're more into yielding an overall fade to the fabric and bringing out more texture, you can wash more often.
I'm somewhere in between and like mcclain said above, I find washing and drying jeans to be a bit of a hassle (and a waste of water if they're in the machine on their own). Every one-two months works for my typical lifestyle and climate.
