I have never seen the contest before. As near as I can tell you are supposed to wear a pair of jeans for two years and the end result is to be judged. Correct so far?  I see there are many categories for weights. I wouldn't really consider doing something like this except I think it would be rad to represent the great people who run this place. My question is does this BB heavy jean breathe much? I work outdoors in Las Vegas and six months of the year super heavy jeans would be potential torture. I might be able to suck it up in 21oz.(maybe) just wondering how this denim would work. I'm really hard on pants and usually just blow out Levis and would not consider wearing high $$ jeans for work. That being said I probably have some nice potential for knee wear(more like wear out) and those creases on the back of the leg. Summer is usually for shorts here. So, do you think this is something I might want to take a crack at and have some fun, or would it honestly be a bad idea because 2 years of beating jeans up to potentially nothing left even sooner and being hot and miserable is what I'm staring at? By all means please be honest. Thanks!

Do NOT consider the 21/23 UHR denim if you live/work in a hot climate, they'll be torture….

Weave is tighter than the 25oz after a soak?  Also do you think the 21/23 will be faster or slower fading than the 25oz?

          Weave is tighter.

21/23 will be faster and more contrasty (IMO)

So on the boot… I have an Redwing Beckman Round and Oakstreet Bootmakers Trenchboot in black, both are an 11 so I should order these in a ?

I'm still not sure on the double toe stitching but I have been wanting a burgundy smooth out leather and they look awesome otherwise.

Does black denim qualify for the contest? I got beautiful Warehouses yesterday that would be perfect for the contest, but I don't think I can wait this long…

Perfect. I wash my new Warehouse 800 at the moment and am not sure wether I can withstand the urge to wear them.

I see on the website that there are 2,302 registered users…does that mean there at least 2,302 contestants already (I say at least because one can enter with multiple pairs, right?)

Was wondering about that the other day, too. Still. I don't recall wether I am already registered (I think I did that, but didn't buy into the contest yet). So maybe it's just the registered users, not the contestants.

It's a mix of users, registered users (signed up) and spambot accounts which don't get through security but for some reason show as a user. The next time I get a spare week I'll delete them all.

Flo, you are not yet registered.
