WESCO

I have to say i am the lucky owner of three pair of Vibergs, 2 pair of white's and some other pairs like FH, etc. and was looking for my next boot purchase quite a long time. I was sure i d go for an engineer this time but didn't know which brand to go for. After researching and trying on some pairs i ve made my ranking depending on quality, reputation, costs an (known) sizing. Then G announced that he together with Sascha will distribute Wesco in Europe and i saw and touched some builds at Bread-and-Butter. The Possibity of ordering a costum boot through him changed my mind (rankings). But first i had to confirm my correct wesco size and the right toe for my build up. So I decided to ask G for fitting infos about the wesco engineer boots belonging to the differences between the MP and the Boss toes. G. kindly offered to send me a few to try them on. I ve decided to choose three pairs of the IH-Wesco-Buildups (2 x#4 in 9E and 9,5Eand #5 in 9E) . After three days of waiting the shoes finally have arrived me today. I was really curious about the boots, opened the boxes and they didn't disappoint my high expectations. In conclusion i must say that i am really impressed by their quality. The smell, look and feel of the beauties are sparkling me. My order will come soon to you G!;)

Now that is service, I'm sure you'll love them man. I saw many different Wesco builds at Fish and Chips this year and they went from being a brand I didn't know much about to a brand I wanted buy a million different builds from.

How are everyone's unlined Black Tie / Domain boots holding up? I went with a 7" MP (low) Packer in Black Tie, but I'm a little concerned about how it will (or won't) hold up in the long term without a lining. If I'm not mistaken, all of the boots Wesco makes are lined in the vamp area. The lining is optional in the upper part of the boots.

Sure they are, just not the shaft. It's more of an issue with tall engineer boots, but I was curious if the 5-6oz domain got more wrinkly/slouchy (in an "uh oh" way) without a lining than the 7oz black/brown leathers. Khaki8, thanks for the info. Have you posted images of your packers? I thought I'd run into them at some point going through the thread, but I only spotted when you listed the build.

My Jobmasters are the burlap leather, which is 5-6 oz, I believe, and they are lined. It is really not necessary, and I would not do that again.
