Congrats and have fun with your raw denim projects.
Here a pic with the proper answer of the second question:

Really roughest vintage or raw denim rags deserves to survive for ever! So never throw away any raw denim rags - Use them as long as possible and when it comes to their end - there is a safe place where your favorite items can rest in peace for ever in the Jeansmseum ruedi.karrer@jeansmuseum.org

I think they got one soak since the last time, maybe two, they are worn less now days, a day or two a week, going out and stuff, never to work anymore.

Fanya I know you say it's your active lifestyle that leads to your fades. But what exactly is it you think that leads to the amazing fades. Being in the harness or just moving around a lot in the plane. Or is it the actual jumps [emoji4]

Maybe that question should go out to everyone? What do you do in your jeans which accounts for the most fades?

The harness causes the accelerated wrap around fades in the top block and but area.  The combs come later and I think that is more of a product of sitting in cramp airplanes and being up and down all day. I also spend a lot of time on my knees 😉

                                    1. Running repairs. No doubt that some heavy champs jeans are getting pretty beat up, let's see those repairs and talk us through them.

These jeans have been repaired and repaired.
Countless repairs to the stitching in the crutch, pockets, yoke, inseam and coin pockets. All the stitching repairs I have made myself with needle and thread.

Home repairs to the zip were made, then after complete failure safety pins go me through a concert, a new zip was installed.

Anders the owner of Steel Feather supplied the Zip. I made an unwise decision and got a local alternations shop to install it…

After the first time that was very poor Danny from Rivet and Hide sent them off to someone that had done Junior’s. It was a much better job but even still I have had to restitch some parts.
21oz denim don’t play nice with cotton thread.

I have pretty much thrown in the towel with HWDC 2, the climate in Far North Queensland (the G20 is in Cairns now) has me beat. Next round I am I am going lightweight as I have been donning on 16.5 oz when I get the chance.

just some random pics of me walking the dog in my jeans. Figured this plays a big part on the wear i get on my denim.

jeans are due another wash on the 1st of October. Think are getting better with every wash.

I remember thinking at the start of the comp that there was no way the 25oz would ever feel comfy, but thankfully i was wrong.
