Feck me 40 ! My dad was a Benson & Hedges 100s man , almost three packs a day .
Passed away day before his birthday of a heart attack , he was 56 . Not looking for
sympathy , only giving you encouragement - albeit in a morbid manner .

        Mirthing my way through life.

Damn…. Finally a bad game this round, and I say that as a US fan.

Right then, France are gone - good, they finished very tamely and their easy group only got them so far, I suppose water always finds it's own level.

Brazil scraped through with yet another lenient ref. I think their luck will run out soon. A bit more self belief and Colombia could have won that - this tournament is still there for the taking.

What a brutal game that was, the tempo and tenacity were off the chart, if I wasn't so sure O Jogo Bonito died a long time ago, I would declare it dead and buried today, Brasil simply cannot afford to not become champions… on the other hand Colombia lost the mental game and got sucked into the trenches to fight a dirty game -both teams could have seen 3/4 players sent off- and were never really capable of playing at their normal level before being down by two ... I hope this hasn't "inspired" the Argentinians to take their game to an equal base level tomorrow  ... Oh, and I wouldn't mind having some of those amphetamines the Brasilians are clearly taking before each game  😉

Neymar is out, broken vertebra. Agree 100% with the criticism against the way this game was conducted.
My hunch is that the winner of Brazil v. Germany will become the world champion.

Seriously, FIFA, most evil professional sports overseer of all. Consider an American sports fan is saying this 😕

I'm saying they picked a penalty that guaranteed him a goal when there was a safe margin. Tons of fouls on the kid all game long.
