I would love to give 'em a try, but I'm nervous about the thigh measurement. I will also be visiting my parents in NC from the 10th to the 20th, so we could get this thing moving pretty quickly, and then I can bring 'em back to Mexico.

I'm pretty iffy on that thigh–might be too tight to really give these a worthy tour-leg.  No sense sending them all the way to Mexico to find they don't work.  @madmonday, you should give them another go!
