The weather was lovely today, so only one thing for it!

I'd picked up an IHJ-11 a couple of weeks ago, but the fit hadn't worked, so I needed to take it back…

I thought that @Giles and @Madame Buttonfly would a bit thirsty in the hot weather, so I brought some beverages. Beer and chocolate? Surely that's two food groups…

There was a nice looking Cafe Racer with enormously long arms. Paging @tatmantall - your jacket is ready.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to leave without a few goodies.

I measured a whole stack of the 1955 UHRs, and found the pair with the longest legs. They've got an inseam that's a shade over 37", so should shrink down to 35" to 35.5", which is bang-on.

Despite a flirtation with the Lefty Trucker, I saw sense, and came home with the First Zip. I figured that @trail and arrow would try to steal my existing '80s style denim jacket so I needed a spare.

Oh, wait, this one is XXL. That's his size… :o

In my general rooting through the store room, I thought that the Deep Indigo Engineer's Jeans looked great, as did the Triple Works 634NSP. Unfortunately both are possibly on the short side for my legs. (Phew…)

The Prison Stripe Shirts are interesting. I like the fabric, but not sure if I'd be brave enough to wear them…

It was a good day, and nice to see everyone again. I'll have to make another run down again sometime.

As always, was great to see you Graeme!  Giles has already greedily drunk his chocolate beer, mine is being saved for the day when my booze tastebuds revive, hopefully not too far away…

Ugh.  It's been way too long since I've been boating at the lake.  Looks really nice, mcl.

Opening up the family cabin for the year. Lots of cleanup after the tree landed on the roof this spring. Everyone was involved and it was cleared out in no time. Perfect cool spring weather today.

I do a 10-20 mile hike every weekend. Just not going to attempt it a pair of Vibergs that are not broken in. Hot spots and black toenails are not my idea of a good time.  The leather on these is so thick/tough I have never seen anything like this. I have been wearing 3 pair of hiking socks to stretch the leather a bit because they are a drop tight in the toe box.

Tight toe box is a killer for a hiking boot. You should have a little room so your toes arent getting smashed into the front of the shoe walking up and down trails. When you get fitted for hiking boots they always tell you to leave some extra room in the toe box. My aslo boots are a touch tight in the toe box and start to hurt after awhile. My north face hiking boots are a little looser in the toe box and I can hike forever in them.
