John Lofgren (Speedway)

These are real fucking nice
-
So happy your got them and appreciate them, they fantastic.
-
Unfortunately I didn't make these mine…. I just picked up the speedway piques from mister freedom and I figured I should check these out. That being said, when I get engineers, it's highly likely they'll be the lofgrens...my foot snapped into the boot and they felt really amazing.
For anyone who is on the fence size wise, I am a true 9.5 (left foot is a tad shorter though) and the 9s I tried felt amazing. I might want to try an 8.5 just to make sure, but they'd probably be too tight.

im considering having some work dne on my lofgrens… id like the heel lowered slightly and the shaft narrowed if possible... not sure who to call on for the work but thinking about takeshi

you seen brian the bootmaker? he's definitely done crazier shit than that and he seems to be held in high esteem by veb…. also located in la so shipping wont be much!

Gonna have to check that out thanks ben

Lowered heel= blasphemy!!

Guys, I'm not wanting to break any forum rules, but don't want to make this into a marketplace post yet because it's still a little while off. Anyway, I've got a brand new pair of JLs in Badalassi Cognac coming in size 12 that I will sell for considerably less than you can buy a new pair. PM me.

Wrong size?
-
Sounds like a good plan!
-
Did some maintenance on these in preparation for beating the bejesus out of them in New Orleans. Like new again.
-
Yes sir, self edge la
Ben, may I know how will you go with sizing on the engineers? Ive read that they tend to come 1 size bigger. So If Im in between sizes 10US and 9US should I go with a 9?
Thanks
-
I believe that they are around an e width (to accommodate the Japanese foot), so I think that if you are a d width you should size down half. I'm a true 9.5 and the 9s slipped on like a glove in 5 seconds. That said, I'm going to try on an 8.5 just to be safe. I'll let you know…

I wear a 9.5, but could have gotten a 9. (Also a US9.5D). The 9.5 lets me put nice thick gel insoles in there though so it's all good.

^^Same here. I'm a 12 and have the JL engineers in 12. Probably could have gone with 11.5, but the 12 fits fine and allows me to put in my Superfeet 3/4 inserts for more heel cup and support, which I really need. I'd say stick with your true size and get a (custom) insole and some nice thick boots socks.
