I think IPAs are a bit of an acquired taste. After living in California for a few years my hop tolerance increased tenfold. Now I can't get enough of them. Tangy, citrusy hops… earthy, spicy hops... count me in. I must admit that some double IPAs are a bit overkill though.

I am gonna stock the shit out of Fantôme and geuzes next Friday… I feel spring's right around the corner... Out with the dark and heavy, in with the pale and light-y!..

Wish I could feel that way, freezing rain mixed with snow now, supposed to be single digits again by tomorrow. Give me the first week above freezing and I'm right with you though 😉

My apologies to Dan as well. I keep forgetting packing supplies, so I have a box full of beer that I need to get out without the proper means of doing so. I have to run out today and even set a reminder, so I should have it dropped by the weekend.

Oh it's all good man. I have friends visiting next week, so I won't be able to make it down to big sky country till after them, so do not rush.  A positive to that is that I will be through calgary again, so I can drop by an incredible shop with great worldwide selection again, and see if I come across anything else exceptional to send your way.  I think the most impatient person in this trade is my girlfriend, who is waiting for me to go to Montana to pick up and ship beer so I can pick up her two patagonia dresses for the shipping depot.

Yes: I prefer this beer over Abt 12, R10, and Westy XII...

There is literally a pubes width between them all imo…..although not tried the Westy (yet).

10 yr Anniversary aged porter from my favourite canadian brewery.  The final run, as this particular beer is being retired, forgot to take a phot till a bit after I started in, but figured I better, as I may not be able to drink it again

I can't get on with blonde beers as much as I do darks, I've tried but the sweetness is really not to my liking. I find most of them a little sickly.

Just as in dark ales, the variances in blond beer are enormeous… If you don't like sweet beer, you can drink bitters or IPAs... I, however, want low % alcohol complex, fruity (citrus-y) beers...
