@chewie how do you like the fit? Height and weight if you don't mind me asking? Also what size did you buy?

That's good to hear. I ordered a 40 and I'm 6'1" 180lbs. I like the way normal length type III's look but I don't like tucking my shirts in so I'm hoping this one is a true winner.

I envy anyone in a place warm enough to wear that jacket right now.  Looks good.

Fits feels pretty good throughout. But looking at the pic, it does look a tad big.
I may soak it again tonight to see if i could get a little more shrinkage.

agreed with superfuzz, it's best if you can wear over heavier items & lighter items.  the fit you have right now allows that. . . but it's of course what you are happy with.

maybe you should wash it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle with a tiny bit of soap to get max shrinkage??

I'm thinking an extra soak but mostly it will probably be perfect once it's less stiff.

2 mins out of the box. Pre-soak pics. I was worried about the shoulders being on the narrow side. I was going for a tighter fit than my Superblack type III.

So you think the shoulders were larger than measurements indicated? That would be my concern, as well.

                                            Yes, I have the 44.

Just measured at my desk.  18" give or take 1/4" across the front of the shoulders measured the way SE states.  The 44 is listed at 18".  They measure differently from IH in this way.  I'm hoping that the body and shoulders slim down slightly with most of the shrinkage in the length & sleeves.  In my mind that should be logical so it will probably be the other way around.

Feels nice and crispy.  It's damn thick, but I think once it's broken in it will be a great weight.  I plan to wear with tshirts and short sleeve shirts in the spring. Fingers crossed.
