What's your favorite Beer?
-
Looks like our US friends will have their own trappist beer to enjoy pretty soon:
-
^Certainly sounds interesting…
Not simply content with a few bottles, inspired by boredom, and egged on by a great deal I got from work, some friends and I got a keg of Screaming Pumpkin. It's a great pumpkin beer with a bit of a sordid history and an almost cult following in the Lansing area.
It was formerly produced by the Michigan Brewing Co before they went out of business. Luckily the brewmaster there was able to take the recipe with him when he relocated and helped start up Griffin Claw out of Birmingham.
and of course a bit of cold storage for the beer too…

Dear lord, this is good.
Sucks that it isn't distributed in Texas. I'm going to have to do some shopping when I'm in NC next week. Hopefully, I can find some. Shoulda bought more when I had the chance. Oh well, hindsight…

Babies all pretty much look the same anyway.

I have to disagree completely on the all babies sentiment. My kids could not have looked more different had they been different species, let alone unrelated. My daughter was a little cute thing, pink and proportioned properly. Her head was normal, everything about her was typical cute baby. Cody on the other hand more closely resembled something that came out of Sigourney Weaver in a movie. He was grey and inhuman looking in how elongated he was. To make it worse he immediately started picking his head up to look around, and his proportions with his mishappen head just made the alien image worse.

From yesterday…
Oddside Java Mint Chip stout - decently tasty, but I feel they could have pushed the mint flavor a bit further. As far as minty/chocolatey stouts go I prefer Naughty Girl Scout by Right Brainand tonight's…
Arcadia Hop Rocket - a fair amount maltier than I remember last years batch. Less balanced than I remember so a bit disappointing, but still very good none the less… -

I'm doing..

- Struise XXX Rye Triple Reserva Bourbon Barrel Aged
