Giles Goes Bonefishing 2014
-
Poor G, flight got delayed and he sat on the tarmac for over an hour which means he'll almost certainly miss connecting plane in Nassau and will have to stay there overnight and take first flight over to Andros in the morning. He calcuated he'll miss about 2 hours of fishing, so not the end of the world. In the meantime, Matt and I have our feet up and are enjoying the peace and quiet…

Just spoke to Phillip to arrange for him to pick me up from San Andros airport in the morning.
His message was basically, " I checked some of the Flats out today, you need to get your arse over here quick - the tides are perfect and there are lots of tailing bones"…
For the uninitiated, Bonefish cruise onto the Flats (shallow water) as the tide flows and if they are preoccupied with feeding, they stick their snout down and feed. Casting a fly to them when their head is rummaging around on the bottom and their tail is in the air does not spook them so much when the fly hits the water…....

Giles is currently without internet access on his Bahamian island (surprise, surprise!) In his words it's apparently "up and down like a tart's knickers", so he may get online at some point.
In the meantime, if you need to contact Giles please copy me or Matt on PMs or emails so that you don't get ignored.
Allegedly he did catch some fish yesterday, and christened his dog tag spinner, so let's hope for some pics soon.

Just spoke to G, he's having a fine time but frustrated about lack of internet, says he's got some great photos he's gagging to share with us
@Finn - apparently you owe him a beer or two!
