Here is a topic I would love to see discussed, music you once at least liked that a person or situation ended your appreciation of. Doing this from my phone so I will post a couple later, as they may get long. I know I have a few that I used to be into, that now kill me to have to sit through one song.

Bourbon: because living in Kentucky just makes you want to drink

        @DanielAFC:

Saw magnum on his first tour back after hiatus in 2011 if I remember correctly. He is dead on with the recorded quality, you are in for a real treat.

He played in my friend's living room on that tour.  The show was amazing…

Planning to see then in Chicago next month...

Its a couple of years old now, but Tame Impala's second album 'Lonerism' is the best thing iv'e heard in years.  I'm completely in love with it and actively recommend it to ALL.
Excited and a bit nervous for their next instalment which is said to be far more diverse.

So I'm new here, but music threads are my jam, and I really loved the playlist I got out of it today, so let me post some of my favorites and return the favor:

                            Everything Everything- Cough Cough

                            WU LYF- We Bros

                            Maps & Atlases- Fever

                            Yellow Ostrich- Whale

I listen to a ton of technical metal as well, any BTBAM fans on here?

I'm a big fan of wu lyf myself bandmailtony. It's a real shame they called it quits.  The singer has a new solo song out there that is quite good

The self titled album from between the buried and me was definitely a favourite of mine a decade back, haven't heard anything recent if they are still releasing stuff though.

Daniel, did you hear the other guys' project from WU LYF, titled Los Porcos? Also really fantastic.

BTBAM has five LPs, an EP and a cover album aside from their self-titled! If you listen to the progression over time, it goes from "technical death metal" to something like "technical space metal." It's really really brilliant, especially since Tommy taught himself to growl properly between the second and third albums. Also they have a different drummer from the first album, and they've kept the new guy all these years. Very clean, very talented complex drumming

hack on drums and guitar - I found them boring . This sort of music , math rock,

I have heard los porcos as well and I enjoyed what I heard.  I was familiar with btbam up until Alaska, I just meant that the only record I really gave dedicated listening to was the st. Right place, right time. I didn't realize they were still releasing music. Pretty awesome longevity.

Nice call on the tortoise as well jock!
