Does anyone have any info on the copper task suede leather? Is it actually rough out? Is it listed in the Horween tannage list? Thanks.

Suede is split skin, so it's thinner than regular rough out

        It's rough out….

I did wonder because it says copper task suede on the box. I've seen it called copper task rough out elsewhere.

The inside is smooth so I guess it is inside out (rough out) leather.

On what box? Post a picture of the boot in question. I've handled the copper task roughout, and it's very nice. I've never heard of a suede version.

It says suede on the Smokejumper boxes we sell.  But it is rough out…..

Thanks Giles, that's what I thought. I went with a size 9. The 110 last is perfect for me.

These are my MTOs about one month in. Copper Task RO, size 3.5 on their 9220 last. They're pretty great–shame that the MTO program was cancelled.

Size 3.5?  Is that just a typo.  Just curious as they look really proportionate if so.

Yeah, size 3.5–I wear a women's 5.5. Viberg cut the pattern by hand for these, and they did a spectacular job.

I like how there is a midsole. Usually with christy sole it's just the welt then the sole

^nerkg - they do, but I think you're responsible for getting past the whacky canadian mail system to get them up there.

                                  Why does that get expensive?

I think if you clearly mark the item as "made in Canada with US leather" and specify that it's being sent back to the manufacturer for a resole, it should be OK. FedEx is probably a better bet than USPS/Canada Post, but I've only ever done the latter to ship to Canada.

                                        hi guy's,
two weeks ago i saw quite a big viberg collection in beriln.
for me the most interesting boot was this one:
Country Derby Boot Black Waxed Flesh

Why would there be any issues shipping between the US and Canada?  Because of NAFTA, there shouldn't be any customs fees.  At least, that's been my understanding, and I didn't incur any additional charges when either of my pairs were sent to me.
