That being said…. The straps do come up a bit short, so if you have massive wrists it could be an issue.

        Bollocks….......I have.

Thank you for the comprehensive review....

In that case, daluca straps and
Crownandbuckle.com do ballistic nylon NATO straps! Not sure on quality but they look alright!

Or you could just buy the maratac pilots watch, which comes with its own maratac NATO!

3717 is a stunning watch, totally agree, it's what got me looking further into it. I ended up on IWC itself, and then really fell for the 3777. The red arrow on the date window, really does it for me. Sets/balances the red @ 9pm dial. Who knows the 37x7 may even be out by the time I do anything, but yeah wow.

A colleague has the new 3777, although i thought i dont like the Date Display and bigger case its a very nice watch. Iwc elegance in their typical flight watch theme. Myself i prefer the 3717 or the earlier 3706 or then the old double chrono hmmm

                    Cheers,
                    David

I am with David on liking 3717 more. Although been eyeing the ingenieur for quite sometime. Nonetheless, both are a beautiful and simple yet elegant watch. Can be dressed as well turn to a rugged watch with a change or strap. Go for it snowman.

not bad for a very inexpensive everyday "beater" i love how the cal window is all blacked out & the brushed muted case. it's the little things  🙂
